Renee’ came to this field as a second career after raising her children, being a corporate manager for Microsoft and a dairy farmer wife for almost 20 years. She has a passion for all things emergency and critical care. She obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialist Emergency and Critical Care, VTS (ECC), status in 2017 after having worked in general practice, research, emergency and finally a specialty practice. Renee’ is a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society ambassador, a Recover Guidelines BLS/ALS CPR instructor, a mentor for any seeking their VTS status, a former instructor for a Certified Veterinary Assistant program in Florida, has worked in specialty facilities to assist in building a new critical care department, currently she is a clinical trainer. She owns her own consulting business, where she teaches and lectures to technicians about all things veterinary care related. She has worked diligently to help elevate the field of veterinary medicine through training the next generation, and practicing the gold standard of care. She has presented lectures at IVECCS, NYSAVT, KAVTA, NJVMA, PVMA, TVMA, GVS Con and internationally through Exotic Vet Nursing in Australia, as well as many private hospitals through her own business or as a speaker with Zoetis Pharmaceuticals.
