The lecture will review the pathophysiology of acquired mitral and tricuspid and current diagnostic and treatment recommendations as well as expected outcomes based on the disease stages.Comparative treatment landscape for mitral and tricuspid disease in people will be reviewed. Interventional treatment options currently available in veterinary medicine will be described and discussed with case examples presented. Future medical and interventional treatments strategies that are currently under development will be presented.
