Veterinary medicine attracts a high number of neurodivergent professionals, particularly those with ADHD—yet most teams lack the training to recognize, support, and lead these individuals effectively. This session explores the intersection of ADHD and veterinary culture, including the neurobiology of ADHD, how symptoms show up on the job, and how masking and misunderstanding contribute to burnout and turnover. Designed for both leaders and support staff, this presentation offers real-world strategies for improving communication, building inclusive structures, and sustaining the mental health of neurodivergent team members—without sacrificing quality care or team cohesion.
