This course will cover the initial presentation of different types of neurological emergencies including head trauma, spinal trauma and seizures. Focus will be specifically on the initial triage, treatment and stabilization of these cases with particular focus on the role of the veterinary technician in these cases.

1) Attendees will learn how to triage and obtain history for presentation of trauma and seizure cases.
2) Attendees will learn how to stabilize patients experiencing neurological emergencies.
3) Attendees will learn nursing care plans for patients experiencing neurological emergencies.
